Project ‘Meeting Finns’ started with my cross-country journeys back in 2015. Me and my spouse had an idea to see as many cities and towns in Finland as possible. We divided the map of Finland in parts and traveled across the country for four months during the next three years and drove more than 10000 km. In the beginning, this project was about the documentation of our interactions with unknown people during these journeys. Later on, it turned into a long-term personal project of me, a foreign photographer, getting introduced to the Finnish society and culture.
